History

Davis Constructors & Engineers was founded in 1976

Davis Constructors & Engineers, Inc. (Davis Constructors) is one of the most experienced Anchorage and statewide Alaskan general contractors. The owners and officers of Davis Constructors are Alaskan residents and active in the firm. We have maintained steady, orderly growth enabling us, at present, to rank 25th in the top 49 Alaskan based and owned companies and one of the top contractors in the State.

In Davis Constructors’ forty-seven year history, we have completed almost 750 projects totaling almost $2.8 billion throughout Alaska. We are one of the very few contractors who have true statewide experience, and this gives us a unique knowledge of construction in Alaska.

Our company has completed commercial building projects which cover the full range of material and methods of construction, from cast in place concrete and structural steel, to precast concrete panels and wood frame structures. We have had extensive experience in school construction both urban and rural, special housing projects, hotel construction, retail stores, multi-story office buildings and highly specialized construction such as jails and hospitals. Additionally, we have significant experience with military projects including Fort Greeley, Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson near Anchorage.

In addition to conventional general contracting, we offer both our public and private clients design-build capabilities. Davis Constructors takes responsibility from design inception to construction completion, eliminating the need for the owner to deal with architects, engineers, and contractors, thereby dealing with one firm through all phases of a project.

We enjoy a reputation for completing projects ahead of schedule and below budget while maintaining the highest quality of workmanship. This is due to the experience our people have gained in dealing with these special challenges as well as the varied methods and materials employed on construction projects throughout the vast state of Alaska.
