HASKELLdavis JV combines two highly respected construction companies into one entity to form the perfect mix of qualifications and experience required to successfully execute the Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHPP) project for the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). Haskell Corporation has been performing industrial projects in the state of Alaska since 1949. Haskell has both completed and ongoing fossil-fueled power plants in its repertoire of industrial projects, including coal-fired, natural gas fired, oil fired, and bio-mass fueled generating facilities. Davis Constructors and Engineers is one of Alaska’s premier general contractors with a wealth of commercial and institutional experience including past and current construction management at risk (CM@R) contract work for UAF. Davis Constructors has been a champion of the CM@R process for nearly 20 years and has accomplished this contracting method for both public and private clients around the state. Combined, these two companies form a potent entity providing UAF with the best of both worlds in terms of the ideal capabilities and experience for the CHPP project.

The UAF Combined Heat and Power Plant Project will construct two 140,000 lb/hr circulating fluidized bed boilers, a 17 MW steam turbine and all associated enclosures and auxiliary equipment.  Supplying heat and power to the Fairbanks campus, the project  also includes administrative offices and a storage building.
