This project is using a Construction Manager at Risk (CM@Risk) project delivery system and will consist of three major components:

  • 80,000 sf expansion to the south of existing terminal – which will include reconfiguration of roadways, parking, and airside terminal area.
  • 65,000 sf renovation of existing terminal built in 1985 – the existing terminal building will be completely gutted and renovated and reconfigured including mechanical and electrical, the exterior wall system will be renovated, and the foundation and structure will receive seismic upgrades.
  • Demolition of pre-1985 terminal – the north end of the terminal will be demolished, and replaced with an aircraft area.

Because of the complexity of project. and the need to keep the airport fully operational during construction, it will be broken out into several phases including sitework and demolition, foundation, structural steel, addition and renovation.
