Muldoon Elementary School

This project consisted demolishing the existing school and constructing a new 58,000 square foot facility on ten acres. The new school has 26 classrooms and all core support elements such as a multi-purpose room with adjacent music room and stage, gymnasium and IMC. This project was phased to accommodate the needs of the School District. Phase 1 constructed 90% of the new school, while classes remained in operation for the existing school. Phase 2 demolished the existing school and completed the kindergarten classrooms and site work. Construction for Phase 1 began on May 16, 1999. The building was enclosed by early September. The building was complete to move in to the Phase I area November 30, four weeks ahead of the contract substantial completion date. Phase 2 began in January of 2000 and was completed in early June of 2000, two months ahead of the contract completion date.
