This project consisted demolishing the existing school and
constructing a new 58,000 square foot facility on ten acres.
The new school has 26 classrooms and all core support elements
such as a multi-purpose room with adjacent music room and
stage, gymnasium and IMC. This project was phased to accommodate
the needs of the School District. Phase 1 constructed 90%
of the new school, while classes remained in operation for
the existing school. Phase 2 demolished the existing school
and completed the kindergarten classrooms and site work. Construction
for Phase 1 began on May 16, 1999. The building was enclosed
by early September. The building was complete to move in to
the Phase I area November 30, four weeks ahead of the contract
substantial completion date. Phase 2 began in January of 2000
and was completed in early June of 2000, two months ahead
of the contract completion date.
