The Residence Inn Hotel by Marriott/NANA is a three story 100,000 square foot wood frame construction with gypsum composite siding, stone veneer, and custom log features. It has 148 suites. A separate 10,000 square foot Agatehouse at thebuilding includes a pool, meeting room, full service laundry, hearth room, offices, and check in desk. Site amenities include a sports court and outdoor entertainment area with BBQ.

Marriott/NANA contracted with Davis in April of 1998 to design and construct the new Anchorage Residence Inn. The Residence Inn prototype had been built throughout the states. Marriott wanted the project complete for the start of the tourist season in May of 1999. Davis began working with the owner, architect, and engineers to "Alaskanize" the Residence inn. Key changes were made to the structural framing plan to allow for increased framing productivity. Design changes occurred in the exterior envelope and the mechanical system. The project completed in May of 1999 and was a half million dollars under budget.
