Davis
Constructors & Engineers, Inc., Osborne Construction Company,
Inc., and Kumin Associates combined in a design build relationship
with Aurora Military Housing II, LLC to construct the second
phase of new housing units and demolish or remodel existing
units on Elmendorf Air Force Base.
The Nebraska Housing development
is the largest of the three areas. The Nebraska site contains
584 new housing units built in four-plexes (14 with handicap
accessible units) and a Community Center and is located on approximately
332 acres just north of Bartlett High and east of the Air Force
Hospital. Davis' half of the Nebraska site
will use more than 100 acres of sheetrock, 40 miles of walls
(end to end that is 320 miles of wood!), 50 acres of shingles
and more than 10,000,000 nails.
